What we collect
Votes are anonymous: each one stores the option you chose, the date, a random browser identifier and — in aggregate only — the country your connection comes from (used for the world map, never shown per person). If you create an account we also store your email address, used exclusively to send you sign-in links and to keep your streak and history across devices.
What we never do
Your individual vote is never public, never shown to other players, and never linked to your email in anything we publish. We don't sell or share personal data with third parties. Aggregate counts (e.g. "64% chose B") are public by design — that's the game.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary, first-party cookies — which is why there is no consent banner:
- did— random anonymous identifier so you can't vote twice on the same dilemma (1 year).
- session — keeps you signed in if you create an account (90 days).
- NEXT_LOCALE — remembers your language (1 year).
Analytics are cookieless and aggregate (Vercel Analytics).
Your rights (GDPR)
You can request access, correction or deletion of your account data at any time by writing to dilemmasday@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your email and unlinks your history; already-aggregated anonymous counts cannot be undone.
Processors
Hosting and analytics by Vercel, database by Supabase, email delivery by Resend. Each processes data on our behalf under their respective data-processing agreements.
